Leader:  I will bless the LORD at all times;
All:  His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Leader:   My soul makes its boast in the LORD;
All:  Let the humble hear and be glad.
Leader:  Oh, magnify the LORD with me,
All:  Let us exalt his name together!
Leader:  The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
All:  He delivers them.
Leader:  Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!
All:  Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Opening Prayer

O LORD our God help us to listen as we are taught what it means to know you.  Help us to keep our tongues from evil and our lips from deceitful talk.  Help us to turn from evil and do good.  Help us to seek peace and pursue it.  Help us to allow your Spirit of love to shine through us in all that we do.
The psalmist said that your eyes are toward the righteous and that when we cry for help you hear and deliver us from our troubles.  O LORD, redeem the lives of your servants so that none of us who take refuge in you will be condemned.  Thank you, LORD, for your love and protection.
Amen.

Scripture Reading Jeremiah 1:4-9 (Easy to Read Version)

The LORD'S message came to me:  "Before I made you in your mother's womb, I knew you.  Before you were born, I chose you for a special work.  I chose you to be a prophet to the nations."
Then I said, "But, Lord GOD, I don't know how to speak.  I am only a boy."  But the LORD said to me, "Don't say, 'I am only a boy.'  You must go everywhere I send you and say everything I tell you to say.  Don't be afraid of anyone.
I am with you, and I will protect you."   This message is from the LORD.  Then the LORD reached out with his hand and touched my mouth.  He said to me, "Jeremiah, I am putting my words in your mouth.

Scripture Reading 1 Timothy 4:8-13 (Easy to Read Version)

Training your body helps you in some ways.  But devotion to God helps you in every way.  It brings you blessings in this life and in the future life too.  Here is a true statement that should be accepted without question:
We hope in the living God, the Savior of all people.  In particular, he is the Savior of all those who believe in him.  This is why we work and struggle.  Command and teach these things.  You are young, but don't let anyone treat you as if you are not important.
Be an example to show the believers how they should live.   Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith, and by your pure life.  Continue to read the Scriptures to the people, encourage them, and teach them.  Do this until I come.
